Handmade By the women of the wayuu tribe
A brand with social purpose.
Our job is to support the Indigenous Wayuu People of Colombia by helping them display and sell their beautiful art to the rest of the world.
The Wayuu are facing a devastating food AND water crisis, and they need your help. Every sale makes a positive impact for each family, putting food on the table and helping to bring support to these brave indigenous people.
Freedom Through Artistic Tradition
The Mahayulu Mochila Bag comes from the Wayuu Tribe in the remote region of La Guajira, Colombia. As legend has it, the special crochet technique used in weaving the bags was first inspired by the way a spider weaves its web. Our designers and producers express themselves by carrying on ancient traditions that represent the beliefs of those who, still to this day, live from what the earth provides.
Mahayulu exists to support everyone capable of creating art, everyone willing to ignite the fire and passion in others by generating intense emotions through their craft.
